Surfacing

The surfacing went well.  I used encaustic wax medium to fill the imperfections in the glass and smooth the surface.  Together with a mixture of titanium and zinc white with wax medium it’s getting a more skin-like quality that blocks the projection nicely and unifies it with the rest of the figure.  It also shows the shape of the face better.  Another layer of slightly tinted more translucent wax medium should do the trick.

Meanwhile I work on the body, getting the firmness/padding correct on the body and layering the cloth.  I’m still working on the hands.

The tests with the laser projector came out well, and so I’m moving on the the images I’m projecting.
